  1. Mechanical Strength: Epoxy polyester resins exhibit excellent mechanical properties. For example, adding polyester enhances the impact strength significantly compared to pure epoxy, which can increase impact strength by over 250% and fracture strength by 127% when modified appropriately (Luo et al., 2011).

  2. Thermal Stability: The thermal stability of epoxy polyester blends is enhanced by polyester. For instance, blends with polyester show improved thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity, and a slight reduction in glass transition temperature. The decomposition temperature of these resins can improve by about 20°C with the proper addition of polyester (Ali et al., 2021).
